Traghetto It’s possible to arrive by car from Piombino Marittima, Italy by ferry. The companies Toremar and Moby Lines both offer frequent and comfortable crossings .

The distance is about 10km and the crossing takes about one hour. The ferries travel to Portoferraio, Rio Marina and Porto Azzuro (which is the closest to Capoliveri).

There is also a faster connecting hydrofoil (only passengers) which reaches Cavo (faction of Rio Marina ) in 20 minutes and continues to Portoferraio after a further 15 minutes.

IT IS ADVISABLE TO RESERVE FERRIES IN THE SUMMER PERIOD.

Autostrada From north:

From north-east:
Autostrada A1 Bologna-Firenze-Pisa-Livorno,exit at Rosginano, continue on exit at Rosginano, continue on S.S Aurelia until Venturina-Isle of Elba and continue for Piombino Marittima.

From south:
Autostrada A12 Roma-Grosseto; S.S Aurelia until Venturina-Isle of Elba and continue for Piombino Marittima.

Treno By train: There are frequent train connections to Piombino Marittima by Trenitalia; the station is just next to the port where you take the ferry
